After months of negotiations and hard work from delegates, a collective agreement for Sydney's Company B, who this week scored a Helpmann Theatre Award for their hit musical Keating!, is close to being finalised. Pay parity, a company principle important to members (all crew, front of house and administration staff receive the same hourly rate of pay) will remain.

The new agreement proposes averaging of hours over a week period, better arrangements for time off in lieu and overtime including; annual pay out of accrued leave and better conditions for casuals. The Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney's east is home to Company B. The Company will soon respond a small number of outstanding issues and a draft is expected in approximately a fortnight.
