Campaign For Sydney Opera House Workers Continues
Wednesday, 08 March 2006
Campaign For Sydney Opera House Workers ContinuesThe campaign to support maintenance workers at the Sydney Opera House continues at a protest and barbeque in the SOH forecourt on Friday 10 March at 6pm. Another protest will be held on Monday 13 March at 10.30am outside the Opera House to greet the Queen and show her that the rights of Australian workers are being stripped away. US company United Group Services is forcing maintenance workers to sign AWAs as a condition of re-employment despite an appeal by NSW Arts Minister Bob Debus for the company to renegotiate pay and working conditions with the trade unions in good faith.
