Changes Made Behind Closed Doors
Wednesday, 20 April 2005
Changes Made Behind Closed Doors During the second half of 2004, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre changed the way it calculated overtime without consulting members or the union. It also changed the way Accrued Days Off (ADOs) affect overtime penalties. Management have argued, contrary to the Award, that annual leave does not count as time worked and ADOs are not being counted as time worked for roster and overtime purposes. Alliance delegates and members will meet shortly to determine the next course of action.
