The Alliance will meet with NSW Premier Nathan Rees next month to present more than 800 postcards from members, urging the government to bring NSW film-making incentives in line with other states. Film funding in NSW has been frozen at about $9 million for the past 3 years while the Victorian Government has "steadily doubled" that figure, according to The Age. Recent Australian feature film The Tender Hook was set in Sydney in the 1920s but was filmed entirely in Melbourne after having its funding application rejected by the NSW Film and Television office.
