Pacific Artists Management Pty Limited & Jillian Rollo |

The Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance has been informed that
Jillian Rollo is taking steps to wind up Pacific Artists Management Pty
Limited. A meeting of creditors (that is, people owed money by Pacific
Artists) has been convened by the proposed liquidator of Pacific
Artists Management Pty Limited, Jonathan McLeod, on 22 August 2007 in Brisbane.
A copy of Jonathan McLeod's report to creditors is available on our web site at http://www.alliance.org.au/images/stories/pdf/pam_report_to_creditors.pdf.
You should read it carefully.
At that meeting, creditors will be asked whether they wish to vote in favour of the winding up and to confirm the appointment of the liquidator. Creditors may chose to appoint a different liquidator if they wish.
The Alliance is aware that a number of members have claims against Pacific Artists Management Pty Limited for unpaid performance fees. The Alliance considers that the interests of those members would be best served by the appointment of a different liquidator, David Hurst, who is based in Sydney. David has particular experience in investigating the affairs of failed companies. We feel that the appointment of our choice of liquidator could lead to a greater likelihood of recovery of monies owed.
In order to appoint a different liquidator, creditors must vote at the meeting of creditors on 22 August 2007. Creditors may nominate a representative to attend at the meeting of creditors to vote on their behalf. In order to do this, each creditor must complete the following forms which are attached in the report to creditors:
- Proxy form
- Proof of debt (attaching relevant documents where possible). This is simply a form explaining what debts you are owed.
If you agree that a different liquidator should be appointed, in the proxy form, you should nominate "Sarah Frost" as your nominee. Sarah Frost is a solicitor engaged by the Alliance to attend at the meeting of creditors and vote on your behalf. To assist you to fill out the form, a copy of a completed form is also available on the web at http://www.alliance.org.au/images/stories/pdf/pam_proxy_sample.pdf.
Once you have completed the proxy form and the proof of debt, please fax it to the Alliance on 02 9333 0933, marked for the attention of Capri Clark. For the proxy to be valid for this meeting, you must do this by no later than 4pm Tuesday, 21 August 2007.
If you are unable to lodge a proof of debt in time for this meeting, you can still lodge one after it but we will not be able to have our choice of liquidator appointed.
If you have any questions, please call Capri Clark on 02 9333 0978. |
