The JUST Super Student Journalist of the Year PrizeThe JUST Super Student Journalist of the Year Prize is your big chance to get your best work recognised! The Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance and Walkley Foundation, with the support of major sponsor JUST Super,  have created this exciting development for the next generation of journalists. Launched in 2003, the Student Journalist of the Year competition is open to all tertiary students studying journalism, communications and media related degrees who have not previously worked full time in the media.  Print, radio, television and online work will be eligible for submission.  It's a great chance to have your work seen by Australia's top journalists.

All students are encouraged to enter one example of their best work, produced between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005 which does not have to be previously published or broadcast, but must have been submitted for assessment. The award will be judged by a three-person panel consisting of senior journalists, who will select the three finalists and the winner.

The finalists and winner will be chosen based the same criteria used to judge the Walkley Awards -newsworthiness, research, writing, production, incisiveness, impact, ethics, originality, innovation and creative flair. For more information download an entry form here. Remember, entries close at 5PM, Friday August 5, 2005. For more information contact the Alliance, freecall 1300 656 512 or email students@walkleys.com.
