National ABC Industrial Action Was A Spectacular Success
Thursday, 21 September 2006
National ABC Industrial Action Was A Spectacular SuccessCongratulations & thank you to everyone who participated in last Thursday's industrial action. All ABC Radio & Television Broadcasts were seriously disrupted. The ABC appeared to have been overwhelmed by the depth and breadth of the industrial action, considering the one-week notice management had of the action, nationally, programmes were scattered and amateurish.

The overwhelming success of this first national action provides an excellent foundation for our guerrilla campaign.

What’s NEXT? – The Alliance is holding a national phone hook-up of delegates on Monday 25 September to discuss our next steps in our campaign of guerrilla industrial action. If you have ideas for action or would like to participate in the hook-up please contact your Alliance Delegate or local organiser.

The joint unions have responded to Mark Scott’s all ABC employee email sent late Wednesday afternoon. Management have NOT improved their offer since our last negotiations, i.e. since before the ballot commenced.

Further information available soon at  www.alliance.org.au.
