Radio Station Raided
Friday, 22 April 2005
Radio Station RaidedMelbourne radio station 3CR has been raided by the Australian Federal Police, in what the Alliance has branded a blatant act of media intimidation. On 22 March, three AFP officers entered the station with a warrant to seize an interview, recorded previously with Rob Stary, lawyer for terrorist suspect "Jihad Jack" Thomas. The warrant was issued because Stary, during the interview, had apparently contradicted statements made in court. The Alliance believes obtaining the interview through these means was excessive and unecessary.
