Parker, Lesley

Lesley Parker has been a journalist for 25 years, writing and editing for metropolitan newspapers, magazines, international news agencies and specialist publications in Australia, New Zealand and Britain. Over this time, she has become a specialist in business and financial markets, as a reporter, subeditor and in providing editorial services to the funds management, financial markets and investment banking sectors. Having a personal interest in the arts, she has also worked with the museums and galleries sector. Another area of interest is property. As foundation editor of publications such as the Serif award-winning Partnership magazine, published on behalf of national law firm Clayton Utz, Lesley has helped to develop new editorial concepts and secure support for them at a senior level. As well as working with professional writers and designers, she has co-ordinated non-journalist involvement. She has also taken on a training role, for instance in developing training courses for the Fairfax group. As well as editing, Lesley continues to write – mainly for business magazines such as Management Today and HR Monthly but also for women's and lifestyle magazines.
