I currently work as journalist/photographer and communications officer for the Rail, Tram and Bus Union as well as the Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union. In addition, I provide copywriting and photographic services to the Australian Labor Party in Queensland.
I have completed and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science and Journalism and I have just commenced a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations.
Before my current position I had four years experience with a State Member of Parliament.
My specialties include:
Academic Writing: research papers and policy documents.
Editing and Proof Reading: I have extensive experience in editing and proof reading.
Copywriting and Journalism: text and content for advertising materials, and management and creation of journals. While my immediate experience is with industrial relations and political issues, I am more than able to get my head around any topic in very little time. (please see link below)
Photography: outdoor and indoor event photography, portraits, and shoots for campaign materials. (please see link below)
Media management: complete management and direction of campaigns, including extensive experience in political and community sector campaigns.
My rate is $60/hour plus expenses.
