Caroline Gladstone writes about cruising, international and Australian destinations and likes to pepper her stories with humour whenever she can.
Caroline has been a journo for 25 years and has written travel stories for the past 18 years.
She has written for consumer titles including The Australian, the Sun Herald, The Sunday Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald and magazines such as Luxury Travel, Vacations & Travel, Cruise Passenger, From the Bridge and Holidays for Couples. A decade stint working for trade news magazine Traveltrade (now called Travel Week) - from 1990 to 2000 - gave Caroline an indepth knowledge of the travel industry and she continues to contrubute to business magazines such as Travel Bulletin and Travel Daily.
Caroline also writes guide books and co-wrote the first edition of the Fodor's Guide to Tahiti and French Polynesia, published by Random House in October 2008. Having filed some 80,0000 words for the guide, Caroline can justifiably call herself an expert on these beautiful islands.
Caroline has also updated and written new material for the Fodor's Guide to Australia - particularly the NSW, Victoria, Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland chapters and has travelled widely in these states.
Caroline also writes feature articles on a variety of subjects and human interest stories.
She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) and a Diploma in Education (Dip.Ed) from the University of NSW.
She is a trained NSW high school teacher and has worked in State and independent seconardy schools in NSW.
She currently coaches primary and secondary children at a weekend coaching college.
She has written course work for the NSW Det of Education and Training.
