SPECIALTIES: Travel and Marine Writing, Web Editing, Copywriting.......

With qualifications in journalism, travel and yachting, Fiona Harper specialises in writing feature articles and reviews, with a focus on Australian lifestyle, travel and tourism. Currently based on the Gold Coast, Fiona is a fulltime writer, travelling most of the year in order to support her writing with factual research. As a media professional, committed to the integrity and ethics of the industry, she is a member of the Australian Journalists Association, and the Australian Society of Travel Writers.

With an extensive background in the travel and marine industries, Fiona has capitalised on this experience as a Freelance Writer for the past four years. Fiona’s articles appear in national travel, boating, lifestyle and inflight publications as well as on a number of websites.

Fiona is currently developing an online Marinas Guide (www.marinasguide.com.au), which details every Australian marina. But The Guide doesn’t just focus on marinas, it features boating lifestyles with accommodation, entertainment and destination reviews. Additionally, Fiona has over 20 years of commercial, racing and leisure boating experience in Australia, New Zealand and across the Asia/Pacific region. There’s hardly a boating region she doesn’t have first hand knowledge of.
