The Workplace Ombudsman is currently investigating the producers of the children’s television series, The Fairies. The Fairies have now locked performers out after refusing to negotiate a collective agreement with Equity. The Australian Industrial Relations Commission is now involved, and negotiations with the producers continue.

Australian performers have a proud history of campaigning for a vibrant and diverse ABC under successive governments, and with the federal budget approaching, again it’s crunch time for the ABC.
